If you prefer a Krups coffee and spice grinder finished in brushed stainless steel to either the black or white plastic kind, you can opt for the GX4100. The cylindrical machine is accented, in its upper portion, with a black belt around its girth with the name “KRUPS” in white, and a black supporting rib running along its height. The base is also black.
Inside the machine are stainless steel blades that are sharp enough to mince dried spices, fresh herbs, and coffee beans. A pulse action button allows you to choose the fineness of your grounds. To prevent accidental spilling of the grinder’s contents, the lid is fitted with a safety lock.
The blades are powered by a 140-watt motor. This enables the machine to grind spices and herbs as peppercorn, cinnamon, cloves, coriander, mustard seed, basil, rosemary, or bay laurels; and, of course, coffee beans; in a matter of seconds. In spite of this speed, it is relatively quiet compared to other electric grinders. And with a 3-ounce coffee bean capacity, you can have enough grounds for 10 to 12 cups of freshly ground and brewed coffee.
With a width of 11 cm and a depth of 9 cm, this useful tool has a very small footprint. And with a height of only about 18.5 cm, it can fit below overhead cabinets. At the same time, it is a perfect complement to a contemporary kitchen especially one using stainless steel work table tops, sink, or other equipment.
