The big hopper and quick grinding performance of the Schnitzer Grano Electric Flour Mill make it an ideal kitchen equipment for a medium-sized family that is bent on eating natural and healthy whole grains packed with fiber, minerals, vitamins, and enzymes.
The grains that this mill grinds aren’t the only thing natural about it. Its housing is made of linseed-oiled beech wood, while for the hopper you can choose stay to natural with the wood, or add a dash of contemporary with the stainless steel version. Both these hoppers have a capacity of 1.2 kilograms.
The grinders are also made of natural materials –ceramic bound corundum. These can be adjusted using a lever on left side of the mill to produce fine or coarse grounds. An industrial grade 600-watt motor powers the corundum and ceramic grinders and enables them to produce 220 grams of fine flour a minute, or 600 grams of coarse grains for the same amount of time. And because the grinders are made of stone, they do not overheat the grains thus preserving their nutrients.
The Grano Mill can process grains and seeds as small as a millet or as big as a corn. Oily seeds can also be ground if you chose a medium or coarse setting. If you mix them with wheat or rye on a one-to-one ratio, you can set your mill to fine. You can grind barley, oats, rice, spelt, linseed, yeast, dried peas, chickpeas, coffee, quinoa, and amaranth. You can also use the Grano to mill spices such as coriander, cloves, fennel, caraway, peppercorn, dill, nigella, and cardamom among others.
The mill is 420 millimeters tall, and 200 millimeters wide and deep. Its spout is at 120 millimeters from the base.
