The Sumeet Multi Grind is a compact yet heavy duty wet and dry grinder and mixer. It stands approximately 13 inches and has a diameter at its base of six inches. From the base, it tapers upwards to a stainless steel jar with a blade inside, also in stainless steel. The jar is covered with a domed polycarbonate lid that is unbreakable, at the top of which is attached a lever with a knobbed handle at its end.
The jar rests on a 400-watt, ½ horsepower motor that spins the stainless steel blade inside. This combination can grind virtually any kind of spice you can think of putting inside the jar, and quickly too. It can handle peppercorns, herbs, dried red chilies, ginger roots, coconuts, lemon grass, peanuts, almonds, garlic, and even grains as rice and corn. These can be turned into fine power as a dry grind, or thick paste as wet grind. It can also turn ice cubes into fine ice crumbles in seconds.
The lever at the top of the dome is a built-in stirrer which you can use to mix the spices while grinding. As it spreads the spices inside the jar evenly, you are assured of a uniform texture of your powder or paste. Also, it scrapes the sides of the jar pushing back grounds that had adhered to them back towards the whirling blades.
The stainless steel jar is easily removed from the grinder for trouble-free cleaning.
